One-third of all online activity is spent watching videos, and that number is only growing. So if you want to connect with your audience, educate them about your services, and convert them into customers – why not use their preferred type of online content?

51.9% of marketing professionals worldwide name video as the type of content with the best ROI, and 70% report that video converts better than any other medium. Viewers retain 95% of a message when they watch it in a video, compared to 10% when reading it in the text; however, only the top 5% of videos retain 77% of viewers on average till the last second, according to Hubspot

By incorporating high-quality video content with the right targeted message on your social media pages and your website, video can help drive the next big boom for your business.

Here are 4 things to help you get started in your content creation process:

1. Find what type of video content is performing best in your niche

For example, if you are a career coach, your go-to platforms are Tiktok and Instagram. You can type #careercoach in the search bars of the platforms and filter by recent & what's most liked videos. This will give you an idea of what the platform's audience is most receptive to, and you can use the videos as an inspiration to create your content.

2. Create a content calendar

Most social platforms require you to post on a daily basis for sustainable growth. A content calendar helps you stay organised and serves as a knowledge base for your content marketing strategy. So I went ahead and created a free template that you can use as a starting point. You can find it here

3. Automate your cross-platform sharing

Creating the content and posting on IG reels, Tiktok, Pinterest and Youtube Shorts can be time-consuming. Using an automation tool like Zapier to post new reels directly to Youtube or Pinterest can save your team loads of time. You can also use a scheduling tool like Later to schedule your content on TikTok months in advance.

The end of your videos should have a call to action that aims to convert the audience to customers, whatever that conversion means for you. It could be that you want them to become a follower or make a purchase from you, or subscribe to your newsletter. If, for example, it's to make a sale, make sure you are using a page that is easy to navigate and allows for quick checkout.

Use Pensight to capture the audience

You don't have to use multiple tools or hire a developer for that; you can use a platform like Pensight to create your page in 5 minutes and start selling digital products or get your customers to book paid meetings with you.
