Profile

Who can see my profile and request meetings or ask Q&A questions?
Anyone with a link to your profile can request a meeting or ask a question. You can share your link on platforms, such as Instagram, Youtube, LinkedIn, or Twitter, which will help people to find you!

We also bring you additional clients from our network of companies seeking experts just like you. The companies we work with include investment funds, startups and non-profits.

How can I increase my number of bookings and promote my profile?
The more visible you make your profile, the better. Including your Pensight link with the content you create will allow your followers to reach out when they want to find out more. Adding your Pensight link to your Youtube, Twitter or Instagram bios or including it on your LinkedIn page will boost your profile further.

Ensure your profile is complete and provide as much detail as you can. This will inform others about the topics on which you can provide advice. Providing links to your public social media accounts will improve your credibility. This will also help us connect you with clients looking for expertise that matches yours.

Meetings

Can I link my calendar?
Yes, you can set windows of availability for each day of the week and link your Google or Outlook calendar. Any events already in your calendar will be taken into account and your availability on Pensight automatically updated. When you accept a meeting it will appear in your linked calendar.

Can I decline meetings?
Yes, when someone requests a meeting with you, you'll receive an email notification. You'll then be able to either accept or decline the meeting request.

Will I know who the client is in advance?
Yes, you will see client's name and their booking message in the meeting request.

Can I customize meeting duration or prices?
Yes, you can customize prices and durations in your settings page. You can offer free or paid meetings of up to 2 hours.

How can I cancel or reschedule a meeting?
You can cancel or reschedule a meeting when you log into your Pensight account. There, you'll be able to send a message to your client, suggesting alternative times.

How do the video meetings work?
Live video calls are done directly through Pensight on your browser. An hour before each meeting we'll email you the link to the video call. Clicking on it will open a new browser tab where the meeting will take place.

How can I prepare for a meeting?
Have a look at the client’s message and their profile before the meeting, find out the company they work for and the fields they are interested in.

Video Q&A

How long should the video answers be?
Clients will expect your answers to be between 5-10 minutes,. You can define the answer length by setting up different Q&A types and provide different length answers for different price.

Are the answers private?
The client can opt in to make the answer private, and only visible to them. If they don't, you can choose to add the answer to your profile to show it off as a sample!

How many different types of Q&A offerings I can have?
You can create as many Q&A types as you like!‍‍

Where can I record the answer videos?
You can record the answers directly in your browser when you log in to your Pensight account, either on mobile or on desktop.

Payouts

How will I get paid?
We'll process payments within 72 hours of your meeting or answered Q&A. Payments can be made directly to a US or EU bank account or to a US debit card (non-prepaid Visa, Mastercard or Discover).

We use Stripe as our payments provider. Once you accept your first booking, we'll send you the instructions on how to set up a Stripe account. It's free, takes a couple of minutes and is completely secure. If you already have a Stripe account, we can link it to your Pensight profile.

How much should I charge?
We recommend starting with a small number and gradually increasing it as you receive bookings. Receiving many bookings is a good indicator that you should increase the amount you charge.

A good starting point can be calculated from your existing or desired annual income. You can calculate an approximate hourly rate by dividing your annual income by 2,000 (assuming you work 50 weeks a year and 40 hours each week). For example, if you earn $50,000 a year, you should charge an hourly rate of $25 ($50,000 / 2,000).

For the Q&A, we advise charging 25% of your 1-hour meeting price, but it's completely up to you!

How much will I get paid?
Pensight expert membership is free.
For 1:1 meetings experts receive 97% of the revenue on their earnings. We apply a 3% card processing fee to payments made for meetings, but take no additional commission.

For Q&A, experts receive 80% of the revenue on their earnings. The remaining 20% is used to cover payment processing, support, hosting and all other services.

Profile

How can I set up my profile?
Your profile is created when you make your first booking. We ask for some basic details to let the expert know who they are talking to.
If you are a Pensight expert, you can request time with other experts using your existing profile.

Meetings

How much time should I book?
Most experts provide 45 or 60 minute options. We recommend booking longer rather than shorter meetings to ensure you receive the most comprehensive advice.

I need an urgent meeting but the expert is not available! Can you help?
Email us at info@pensight.com and we'll reach out to the expert for additional availability.

Should I prepare for the call?
We advise that you spend 10-15 minutes preparing the questions and the topics that you want to address. Preparation helps to ensure you get the most out of your time with the expert.

What happens when meeting time runs out?
If the expert has a little extra time and is interested in continuing the conversation - you won’t be charged extra. However, please keep in mind that experts are often very busy and you should schedule an additional session to continue the discussion.

Can you help me find an expert?
Of course! Email us the topic you want advice on and we’ll get you the right expert.

We can also act as a trusted third party if you need to reach someone who's not yet on Pensight. Just send us the name of an expert you would like to book and the amount you would be willing to pay, and we'll reach out to them on your behalf.

Video Q&A

What kind of questions can I submit?
Unless the expert specifies, you can ask them anything about their area of expertise. Most experts will mention the areas they cover in their profile.

How quickly I can expect to receive an answer?
The expert has 7 days to respond, but it's often as fast as 2-3 days!

How long will the answer be?
Experts will usually submit an answer of 5-10 minutes, unless they specify otherwise in their profile.

Where can I watch the answer?
You'll be able to watch the answer directly in your Pensight account. We'll notify you by email when you receive it.

Payments

How do payments work?
When the expert accepts your request, we will authorize your card for the full amount but will only charge your card after the meeting has been completed or the Q&A question has been answered. If the expert does not make the meeting or answer the question, you will not be charged.

We accept all major credit and debit cards, including VISA, MasterCard and AMEX. Depending on the expert, payments will be taken in USD, EUR or GBP.

We provide a satisfaction guarantee. If you are dissatisfied with your call, email us and we will provide a full refund.
